フランスの大学生が大学改革に抗議
French students hold fresh protests against reform
PARIS (Reuters) - French students will hold new protests on Tuesday over President Nicolas Sarkozy's university reform that they say will create a two-tier education system funded by big businesses.Students angry at the reform have been blocking university campuses around France for several weeks and between 43 and 46 of the country's 85 universities are still affected in some way, according to union figures.
The student protests come at a difficult time for Sarkozy, following nearly two weeks of strikes by transport workers and in the face of a spate of violence in several poor Paris suburbs.
Several student marches are planned on Tuesday for central Paris, Rennes, Toulouse and other big cities around France, ahead of talks later in the day between unions and Higher Education Minister Valerie Pecresse.(...)
鉄道のストが終わったと思ったら、今度は大学のようです。この抗議に対し、政府は大学への予算を増やすと約束し、沈静化させようとしているようです。
